Franklin Nelson joined the Financial Times six months after graduating from New College in 2021, where he read Modern Languages. During his time at New College, he was a Laidlaw Scholar, chair of the JCR, and winner of the inaugural equality and diversity essay competition. He has also served as a trustee of the Alliance Française in Cambridge.
